Experience Designers at Bully create high-profile experiences that blend storytelling, game mechanics and high-production value content to engage audiences.  And while every project is unique, emerging tech (AR, VR, MR, Gesture, etc.) is the thread that ties much of our work together.

We pride ourselves on building great UX to solve complex challenges so looking for a creative designer with a high attention to detail and innovative approach to help lead the effort.  Our team is international so communication, creative expression and a family-focus are equally important traits.

Responsibilities of the Experience Designer include exploring new tech, pitching and designing prototypes, developing clear and complete game documentation and working closely with a team of talented artists and programmers to deliver great experiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative experiences that engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
  • Develop storylines and experience flows that immerse users in client messaging and lead the design of internal game projects
  • Create clear, concise documentation that communicate design direction and interaction patterns
  • Work with the concept team to visualize the experience, Production teams to build it and Development teams to bring it to life. And support QA and Delivery team to ensure successful deployment.
  • Help cultivate an innovative, supportive and high-functioning creative environment for the entire team.
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

Required Skills/Background:

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, glass-half-full type person.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 5 years in Game Design or UX position
  • Be willing to take a blue shell in Mario Kart and be cool about it
  • Ability to juggle several projects and initiatives in various phases of production and development.

Pluses:

  • Game studio or big agency experience.
  • Shipped an AAA game or high-profile emerging tech apps.
  • Certified member of the mythic creatures scout team

Account Managers are the critical link between clients and internal teams.  They are the primary point of contact with our clients and build long-term relationships by ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects. 

 Every project we take on is unique and requires a great deal of attention to detail to make sure our teams are working efficiently and collaboratively.  Account Managers are expected to capture project needs, manage client requests and translate them to Project Management and Production/Development team 

Communication, creative expression and a family-focus are equally important to our studios. Account Managers are expected to bring a proactive, supportive attitude to their interactions with both client and team, be able to communicate clearly and effectively and lead projects to a successful conclusion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Engagement team to onboard and integrate new clients and build existing client relationships;
  • Shepherd clients through the creative process in weekly check-ins and ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects according to client needs and objectives;
  • Bring creative solutions to the table and work to cultivate an innovative, supportive and high-functioning creative team;
  • Forecast and track key account metrics;
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Keep clients happy and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis.

Required Skills/Background:

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, glass-half-full type person;
  • Ability to read between the lines, a highly communicative person;
  • Minimum 3 years in an account management role;
  • Ready and willing to fight the Demogorgon with us;
  • Understanding of interactive production and development;

Creative Producers at Bully! are the glue that holds our teams together.  They work with our clients and partners to create innovative solutions and manage the production and development flow through to completion.

 The projects we take on are often unique creative challenges and require a high attention to detail and a well orchestrated approach. Creative Producers are responsible for capturing client requirements, downloading to project management and creative and development teams, and working with them to ensure efficient and creative output.

Creative Producers are expected to bring a proactive, supportive attitude to their interactions with both client and team, be able to communicate clearly and effectively and bring innovative ideas to the table.

Responsibilities include:

  • Bring creative solutions to the table and work to cultivate an innovative, supportive and high-functioning creative team;
  • Create and manage high-level project schedules that are appropriate and feasible for the studio workload;
  • Run daily/weekly reviews with client and internal decision-makers for an efficient feedback loop;
  • Foster communication, creative expression and a family-focused work environment;
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills/Background:

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, glass-half-full type person;
  • Minimum 5 years in a producer/project management role;
  • Experience leading digital projects using Agile-style planning;
  • Understanding of 2D/3D art production and Unity/Unreal development;
  • Strong work ethic and ability to function in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to diagnose issues and quickly implement solutions;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a minimum of 3 Fortnite dances.

Requirements:

  • C# proficiency (ideally with C/C++ background);
  • Unity proficiency, minimum 3 years experience;
  • Mobile development experience with Unity for Android/iOS;
  • Experience in developing real time applications and knowing their constraints;
  • Understanding of game-specific software patterns, data-oriented design, memory management;
  • Familiarity with git, git-lfs (from command line interface, not GUI).

Can be learned or Nice extras but not super essential:

  • Familiar with Vuforia and Unity XR;
  • Familiar with REST and systems using REST APIs;
  • Familiar with Max/Maya/etc.. for content integration;
  • Familiar with data serialization using XML, JSON, Scriptable Objects;
  • Knowledge of Unity’s render pipeline, shaders, post FX, render textures, etc;
  • Native plugins and editor customization.

  • Defining and developing high-quality visual designs from concept to execution;

With technological mastery and a serious penchant for fun, we create extraordinary, immersive customer experiences that blur the boundaries between digital and physical world.

As a Senior Concept Designer you will be taking a creative role in projects from initial ideation and concept exploration, through execution and all the way to final polish.

Responsibilities:

  • Create orthographic renderings of characters and props to be used by the 3D modeling team;
  • Create primary color and support texture maps for a variety of 3D assets;
  • Collaborate with peers, and always look for ways to improve the product;
  • Be able to produce high-quality, creative concepts for medium and large scale projects;
  • Coordinates work with the project team;
  • Exhibits thorough understanding of project design philosophy and provides input in developing design strategies relative to assigned task or area of responsibility.
  • Requirements and Skills:
  • Adobe Suite Knowledge with proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator;
  • Extensive color theory knowledge;
  • Lighting/Mood concept board skills;
  • Strong traditional skills in painting and drawing;
  • Strong digital drawing and painting skills;
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficient English.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiar with 3D program Maya/Max;
  • Familiar with 3D texturing process;
  • Familiar with Zbrush;
  • Familiar with creating texture maps for games.

Should be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to work in a pipeline with other team members, to hand off “unfinished” work, etc;
  • Able to both give and take constructive critique with grace;
  • Understanding of file sizing and structure basics (print size vs web size, etc.);
  • Show a variety of styles and solutions to various problems;
  • Adheres to naming conventions and file organization.
