We’re looking for an experienced Development Director, specialized in Unity (preferred) to lead the development of all realtime immersive experiences and products we’re creating for fortune 50 brands around the world – from entertainment and tech giants to household consumer product and pharma brands.

You’ll be responsible for inspiring, managing and leading an exceptional team of creative developers in delivering best-in-class experiences that are exceptionally interactive, have rock solid stability and are grounded in best-in-class development standards. You’ll work with cross-discipline teams of artists, designers, modelers, and animators – as well as creative project and account managers – in a fast-moving creative studio system that is a part marketing agency and part game dev studio. And because our clients come to us for out-of-the-box creative solutions, there are always new challenges often involving cutting edge technologies.

The ideal candidate lives and breathes game functionality and is able to translate design ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging interactive experience while maintaining a disciplined approach to development and adhering to best-practice software design patterns. You have exceptional programming and coding skills, a keen eye for detail, and the analytical skills to identify potential issues with a design plan.

You are a ‘people person’ with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude and a strong team ethic to help build and maintain a positive environment for sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in full software lifecycle application development: designing, coding, debugging, and documenting applications.
- Establish and maintain best practices and processes for Unity development department (git flow, CI, code reviews, wiki, & skillshare).
- Proactively collaborate with other department leads to ensure project efforts proceed efficiently and with predictability.
- Research new technologies and tools, and plan their integration.
- Provide technical expertise on new projects, and propose solutions to complex problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ yrs of enterprise-level development experience in real-time applications, using C# and Unity engine.
- Strong software architecture skills (beyond GoF patterns).
- Experience profiling and optimizing game and render performance (GPU and CPU).
- Proficient in refactoring and optimizing existing code bases.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with a good sense of design with outstanding communication skills.
- Experience in leading a development team, planning and being a driver for the team.
- Experience of Department Director previously.
- Delegation and Line management experience.
- English proficiency.
