Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with Dreamworks’ Kung Fu Panda

For the Mid-Autumn Festival season, bully! entertainment worked with Dreamworks to create Kung Fu Panda Lantern Launcher for a series of mall installations in China.

At one end of the installation, kids customized the lanterns with their favorite design and Kung Fu Panda character. At the other end, they could make a launching gesture and release their lantern into a digital night sky.

Kids designed their lanterns with special effects, colors, and characters from the Furious Five as well as the Dragon Warrior, Po. After customizing their lanterns, they printed their animal sign from the Lunar calendar and got a celebratory message from the application. From there, they could look up in the sky- and imagine their lantern floating up with the others.
