A love letter to a generational drivetrain

Chevy needed the return of the LS6 in the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport to feel tactile and immediate. Its first launch in over 20 years demanded nothing less than mass appeal.

So we partnered with The Unicorns to build seven premium, pre-rendered VFX sequences that turned the standard spec sheet into an interactive experience. One where viewers could rev the engine, see the internal mechanisms in action, and learn how Chevy cranked up the horsepower for the latest debut of this generational drivetrain.

Built to be experienced

The engine was fully rigged and delivered as seven pre-rendered sequences, working both as ambient loops and as interactive video. Transparent glass-shell effects let the whole car frame the LS6. Particle sims trace intake and piston displacement, fire sims carry compression and combustion, and fluid sims path oil through every channel.

Each render was supported by a core interaction: hold to rev, tap and drag for a 360° turn, toggle between fuel and oil, and the engine responds directly to your hand. Each interaction was accented with deeper product details, smoothly shifting gears from play to education. See it for yourself, before the 2028 model comes out.
