Samsung’s 4K is on full display with this interactive pitching simulator

Working with Canadian powerhouse We Are Cinco, bully! entertainment created a gesture-sensing “Pitch Moment” on display at Blue Jays’ homestands and designed to highlight Samsung's new 4k displays.

The system uses an AI system to analyze a webcam feed and look for specific gestures and motions—first registering a throwing arm, identifying a winding up and tracking the pitch. Depending on the customer's throw, a unique outcome is presented.

Innovating with just a webcam and some software wizardry

Leveraging a combination of motion capture magic and AI activity recognition, we partnered with HologramSoft and Wrnch.ai to achieve high-fidelity gesture recognition and translate users movements into dynamic pitch styles with just a webcam and some software wizardry. This allowed us to dissect the movements and create completely unique pitches for each user. That combined with the life-like Unity scene and integrated motion graphics, created an experience users loved!
